Meet the team
Wordmeister is the brainchild of Shailaja Nair, a journalist with more than 30 years of experience as an editor. The team at Wordmeister comprises world-class editors spread across the globe. This means we can offer 24-hour coverage as we are able to follow the sun. Deadlines are sacrosanct to us as we are all journalists with decades of editing experience. The adrenaline rush of a newsroom is what we live for.

Shailaja Nair
Director
She began her career with the Times of India in Delhi and over the years has worked with India Today, Design Digest, Singapore Press Holdings and most recently, with S&P Global Platts where she set up the first Central Editing Desk 12 years ago.
She has expertise in financial editing, having built up an international team spread across Asia and Australia that edited every commodity covered by the company including oil, petrochemicals, base metals, steel and raw materials, coal, power, agriculture and LNG. In her own words, she loves “editing and rewriting stories till they glow and glitter”.

Jayashree Kurup
Director
Jayashree Kurup is Director, Wordmeister Editorial Services, Real Estate and Cities. She has been a journalist and researcher in the domain for over 25 years. She has been with leading publications such as The Times of India, The Economic Times and The Financial Express.
She has led Asia Pac Research at the International Property Consultants Insignia Brooke, covering India, China, Thailand, Philippines and Japan. She specialises in policy advocacy and research to drive change in the real estate and urban governance markets.

Roshini Nayar
Director
A veteran scientist with 40 years of experience in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Besides scientific writing, editing and publishing in the field of crop and wild resources.
Her expertise is in biogeography, and issues such as impact of climate change and biotic and abiotic stresses on diversity that are current concerns at the national and international levels.
